Pink Moon
In a bakery
I met a woman
with magenta lips
She sees
the books
in my bag—
her husband
has a bookstore
Days later,
in that bookstore,
I met a girl
who smelled
like cotton candy
She saw my shirt,
said
her brother
was a musician
A few weeks passed,
a friend
took me
to a concert
By evening,
his song
found its way
through me
Intoxicating
like rain,
gentle
like love
watered down
After the show
I look,
I wait,
I find him
I whisper
We walk
under cherry blossoms
I say
I’m a writer—
his sister
loves books
Who are you?
What is your name?
Did you notice
the way I looked at you?
Did you notice
your voice
has taken me hostage?
Serendipity,
under a pink moon
The shadow
of something
that only happens
when I’m awake
and dreaming

The music and poem create an atmosphere I can't even begin to try to explain.
So well done.
Love the poem Kasu, and the lyrics and song fit so well!
