Drenched in Orange
I ran through a valley
when the ground shook
beneath my feet
Marigolds
wrapped around my body,
petals
rusting my skin
I walked across the sea,
I felt a volcano
erupt inside me
Heat opened my ribs—
flames poured out
At the end of all things,
I danced
inside the blaze
Drenched in orange,
reborn from ash,
baptized by fire
I prayed to death
Ignited wicks
A thousand candles
Filling warmth
Room shifting
Bending
Orange
Reflecting in her eyes
Skins glowing
Sun on flesh
Heat rising
Ice in shared mouths
Priming a refresh
Passion covered breaths
She joins me
Ceremony.
An
Absolution of sin
I even forgot
I kneeled to death

That's a more intense take on the color orange. Nicely done!
